The EASG is a global constituency representing education and academia within the UN framework. It engages in policy dialogue, advocacy, and collaboration on sustainable development, promoting quality education, lifelong learning, and research-driven policy-making.
Membership is open to organisations, networks, institutions, researchers, students, and educators actively involved in education and academia, and committed to advancing sustainable development and global cooperation. See the complete list of criteria and apply today.
EASG participates in UN processes such as the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), UN General Assembly dialogues, and key events related to education, science, and human rights. Members are involved in advocacy, policy analysis, consultations, and networking activities.
Members gain access to high-level policy discussions, consultations, and networking opportunities. They also have the ability to influence global education policies, collaborate on joint statements, and participate in capacity-building activities.
EASG holds regular virtual meetings, typically once a month, with additional meetings scheduled around key international events. Members receive invitations and agendas in advance.
